Piranha,Juma Lake

ピラニヤは獰猛な肉食魚として有名だ。河に入った馬や牛をものの数分で骨だけにするとか。
それがホントかどうかは知らないけど、ピラニヤ釣りの後のアマゾンの河で結構普通に泳いでる。ピンクドルフィンも一緒に泳いでいる、又一緒は嫌だがワニも泳いでいる。
ピラニヤが人を食う所は見た事が無いのだが、人がピラニヤを食っている所は結構目撃した。
勿論、僕も御馳走になりました。

I never imagined I would some day swim in Amazon River, because I always thought piranhas and crocodiles would eat whatever swims in the water. Well, I was wrong. Local people there would fish piranhas and hunt crocodiles and also jump into the same water for refreshment. So I did it. It was not graceful at all, that I couldn’t erase my fear for those carnivores, but it was a blissful moment sharing the water with pink dolphins.
