デジタル写真全盛の今「キャンデッドフォト」と言う言葉はすっかり使われなくなった。
カメラは只その方向に向けてボタンを押すだけで良い機械になったので、スナップ写真が特殊な物だと区別されなくなった。
カメラは街中に常にあり、誰かの手によって或いは自動的に気の遠くなる様な量の写真或いは映像が撮影される。
その写真の中には通りかかっただけの自分も写っているかも知れない。そしてその写真はどこか外国の行った事も無い国の、見も知らない人のアルバムの中にひっそりと仕舞われているかも知れない。
写真は不思議な物だ、定着されたその時から撮影者の意図を振り切るように加速していく。
Music has its own place, I realized driving the Root 66 listening to country music from the local radio station. It’s not my favorite style of music, yet it perfectly fits the dry landscape. Then I thought, western music fits better than jazz here, whereas it is the opposite in New York. Tokyo is fit for its light J-pop (Japanese pop music) sang by childish voice, whereas Aomori is fit for enka with heavy rolling voice. Then, I suddenly felt like becoming a fan of any kind of music including heavy metal music with piercing electric guitar and scream.
