子供の頃「地球を七回半まわれ！」と言う歌を聴いて、地球儀の上をマンガの様に駆け巡るのを思い浮かべドキドキした。
生まれて初めて飛行機に乗った時、赤い鶴じゃなくて、あの青い地球儀の飛行機にいつか乗るんだと心に決めた。（その夢は果たせなかったけど）
80日間世界一周、やジュールベルヌやコナンドイルの冒険小説も僕の少年の心に火を付けた。
何処までも行って見たいと思う心は止められない。
写真を撮影するために旅をするのか？旅をするために写真を撮るのか？僕には判らない。
I used to love imagining strange places by turning the globe. Firstly, I always point my finger at Japan. Sencondly, having that finger still pointed at the island, I turn the globe 180 degrees and point with other finger at what is on the other side of the origin. Thirdly, I read the name of the city on the “other side” and imagined what the place is like on the “other side”. That was decades ago. Yet, that old interest of what is on the “other side” still haunts me and I can not stop flying around the globe.
