26日未明、コロンボ（Colombo）のバンダラナイケ（Bandaranaike）国際空港に隣接するKatunayake空軍基地で、反政府勢力タミル・イーラム解放のトラ（LTTE）による空爆があり、少なくとも兵士2人が死亡、17人が負傷した。
Today, there was a terrorist attack on Colombo International Airport by LTTE. I was just there less than 6 months ago. Then, the country was calm and beautiful. The coastal lines were filled with people enjoying blue transparent water. Buddha caves of the World Heritage were filled with children learning Buddhism and people praying for peace. I pray for their peace.
