Rush hour,Blackcomb

夜通し静かに雪が降った翌朝、ウイスラーの空は真っ青に晴れ渡っていた。
早朝からアバランチコントロールの為の爆発音が山に響き渡って、クレージーな連中に合図を送っていた。
リフトのゲートには列が出来、その上のTバーに食いつく様にしがみ付く。
ドロップポイントは、あのピークの裏側だ。押しのけるように雪山を登るスキーヤー・スノーボーダーのラッシュアワーは大変な勢いで、足でも滑らせようなら、後ろの大男に踏み潰されそうだ！
ドロップしていく連中の「ヤッホー！！」とか「オー！イェイ！」「ヒャッホー」等の奇声がクライマックスだ。

The first time I went to Whistler, I had only narrow short ski (we call it fun ski) without poles. Back then, I only had 2 seasons of short ski experiences in well groomed slopes in Japan. Non-groomed powder snow slope was unknown world to me. But I said, “Well, I’ll just give it try.” So one morning, I climbed the hill with local Canadian skiers and boarders trying hard as I can to keep up with their pace. And what I saw from the top was amazing. It was white and like heaven. With joy, I gave it a try. But it ended up as one of the horrible experiences in my ski experience. The next season, I’ll give it another try for the heavenly ski.
