テレビの情報番組で南の島への移住者問題が取り上げられていた。
その島では、増え続ける移住者の為の宅地開発や集合住宅建設が環境の破壊や、文化の破壊を引き起こしていると言う。都会の加速して行く競争原理に追従するのが辛くなった人、単に暖かい所でのんびり暮らしたい人、色々な人がいるだろう。美しい環境や、豊かな人間関係、地域文化、家族と過ごす揺ったりとした時間。それらはかつて都会にも在った筈だ。東京のど真ん中に生まれた僕もスローライフを送って育った。畑や田んぼこそ無かったが、のどかな町並みが在り、家族との食卓があった、路地で子供達が遊び、豆腐や野菜、魚等を売りに来るおじさん達がいた。泥だらけになって怪我したり、喧嘩したり泣かされたり。
文化を守って生きる他人の島に移住するより、自分のホームタウンをスローライフで生活出来る所に戻す事が本当じゃないかな。他人の宝物を横取りしてはいけない、皆自分の宝を持っているのだから。
Recently, Okinawa islands are suffereing serious environmental damage from development in a pararell with growing population. The population of the island is growing by more people moving out of the mainland Japan. More and more, people are wanting to live slow life in islands out of cities. But why damage the already precious treasure we have? Why live in a same modern mansion as in cities? If they really wanted to, they could have slow life in cities. It just takes a courage to decide to live in a different rhythm with the other city people.
