東京ミッドなんとか言う物が六本木と乃木坂の間に出来たらしい。
ゆとりの街とかキャッチフレーズを付けているが、ゼネコンとデベロッパーが中心となった金儲け至上主義的都市環境破壊の一つにしか見えない。
Mびるもそうだし、３菱もそうだが、都市の文化や歴史という財産になんか目もくれない。
潤いの在る街とは、全てを商品化しないゆとりが人も心に潤いをもたらす訳で、旧態然とした景観をいかに安全に残せるかに掛かっている。この数百年で人々の生活は変わってしまったが、心の安らぐ拠り所はそんなに変わっていない筈だ。
写真のパリ市内のパッセージュとMヒルズや、３井、３菱の作った下らない街を見比べてほしい。
長い歴史によって自然に作られた街は自然環境同様貴重なのだ。

I think I’ve already made several comments on city developments of Tokyo, that historical buldings are replacing by gigantic concrete buildings. I’m not opposed to modern architectures, but it is a real pity that most of them do not have any characteristics that they all seem the same. And, the new landmark building is to be open in Marunouchi, again. I don’t totally agree on “just take down and build it tall” spirit, but I was a bit relieved that the new building posesses some of the characteristics of the old building as if to resemble the past. We should be more aware of what we already have as the cultural richness, which can not be replaced by any new archtects.
