かっこいい男とは何だろうか。お金や権力、地位や名声の有る男か？背が高くて細い足のすらりと長い男か？
それとも今流行のチョイ悪だろうか？僕だって昔は自分が他人と比べていかにユニークか女の子達に訴えていたと思う。スマートな男に憧れていたとも思う。強さとか格好よさとか賢さとか。
いまだってそれに越した事は無いと思うけど僕には無理だったようだ。スマートな男になどなる才能は僕には無かった。
そこで今は、フウテンの寅さんに憧れている。誰にもに愛され慕われる心優しき、自由な彼。
誰とでも親しくなり、人と人の輪をつなげて行く彼は最高の良い男だ。
少年時代僕にはそれが解らなかった。
I became a great fan of Kiyoshi Atsumi and Hitoshi Ueki after their death. When they were still live on monitors, I was not aware of their genuine “coolness”. They hid their real self in seemingly inelegant and comedian pose. Now that I can see their real face under the mask, they are ones of the real cool Japanese actors.
