80年代のバブル最中、アントニオ・ガウディが大ブームに成った事があった。
今、日本は建築やインテリアがブームだけれど、ゴージャスとか、シンプルモダンだとかスタイルやカテゴライズされるような物ばかりで何だかピンとこない物が多い。
恐らく、技術の進歩が進み構造や工法が合理的に計算される様になった事が原因なのではないだろうか。
I read a comment by a Japanese architect on newspaper recently. He said that most of the modern architects are built for just a sake of “being different” or “making something new” and forget about creating an architect with “beauty”. This is a remarkable comment that I often feel that architects build as if making a modern statue and forget about the beauty of real life that goes inside.
