ニースの海岸を訪れたのは初夏を感じさせる春の日和だった。
トップレスで日光浴するお姉さん、マッチョなお兄さんの直ぐ脇で革のジャケットに破れたジーンズ姿の僕は完全に浮いていた。カメラを持った不審者に見られていたかも知れない。
美しい海岸からは空港に発着するコンコルドの姿も見えた。
フェラーリでパリとの間を行き来するビジネスマンや、高級ホテルに集う金持ちたち、黒服が出迎える高級レストラン。
あまりにも場違いだと感じた僕は、黄昏時の海岸に再び戻って来た。ここなら、金持ちも貧乏人もありゃしないと思ったのだ。
ところが、海岸は熱々のカップルだらけで、僕はいたたまれない気持ちで狭いホテルの部屋に戻る事となった。
I just learned to bake the traditional French tart with fresh pears, tarte aux pore. I used to think western sweets are all modern sweets, as they are new in Japanese food culture, but it becomes more tasty as I get to know this delicious almond cream filling has been enjoyed by centuries in France as anko (sweet beans curd) has in Japan.
