私の仕事場の直ぐ近くには或る大学の先端化学技術センターと言う巨大なラボがある。
一年おきにオープンハウスと言うイベントが実施され、私のような部外者にも内部が公開される。
このイベントが大好きで時間を作って行って見るのだが本当に楽しいのだ。
色々なジャンルの研究者達が対面で研究課題の解説をしてくれる、その熱意が楽しい、そして未来と言う70年代には良く語られた夢が此処には生きている事を感じる。私には難解過ぎるテーマばかりだがその熱意を感じる語り口にスポーツマンの清清しさを感じ、理解不能な機器に満たされたラボが競技場のように思えた。
科学の夢、これは本当にロマンティックだ！
Visiting the Open House of Science at the Tokyo University is my annual joy. I always find some shock on how fast science is developing in this world. This year, the most interesting event took place at electric car lab. According to a Chinese exchange student, recent electric cars have no barrier between robots. They are self-programmed and are run by electricity. The future is close when we can ride on cars without steering wheel.
