旅に出るといつも「常識」なんて結局大した事じゃないって思う。世界中の人々がそれぞれ常識と言う名の元に非常識をしている。アマゾンの奥地にはそこの常識があり、彼らからすれば僕達日本人の暮らしなんて非常識の連続だろう。結局、常識なんかに捕われず、物事の本質を見て行けば間違い無いんじゃないのかな、なんでも上手く行くんじゃないかな。
アマゾンの奥地で彼らが焚火で焼いてくれたチキンは彼等にとっての有り触れた常識。僕にとっては非常識な美味しさで興奮したが、彼等は素っ気なく「あっそう」てな感じだったのが印象深い。
It's really amazing that how different in ways that people live in different land. Living in my city, I never had any doubts that people move from places to places by walking or driving (exculuding flying in this means). But I was shocked to realized it is not so. Living in Amazons, rowing and steering boats substitutes walking and driving. Instead of paved streets, there are creeks and rivers to connect people. In this land, you really gotta know how to swim before you learn to walk.
